The 13th Annual Heroes Appreciation BBQ

98 Years of Life. 98 Octane STRONG.

The 98 Octane team was honored to be invited to the 13th Annual Heroes Appreciation BBQ in Georgetown, Texas, where veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families came together ahead of Memorial Day.

This event wasn’t just a BBQ - it was a powerful reminder that community saves lives. Throughout the day, we connected with heroes and families, shared our mission, and reinforced why 98 Octane exists: to help those who serve live longer, healthier lives.

One moment captured the spirit of the day perfectly -a 98-year-old WWII veteran stepped up and crushed our grip-strength tester. A living example that resilience, discipline, and health can carry a person a lifetime.

We’re grateful to the Heroes Resource Center for hosting one of the largest free military appreciation events in Central Texas and for creating a space rooted in gratitude, connection, and camaraderie.

The greatest way to honor those we’ve lost is to take better care of those still here.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible.
